The Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre wishes you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
For the month of December, admission is entirely by donation! We are open Noon to 5pm December 17th-20th and then begin regular hours again on January 2nd (Wednesdays to Saturdays Noon to 5pm).
Winter exhibits include:
-Ski wing - history of skiing in the area
-Cominco wing - history of mining and smelting in the area
-West Kootenay Power Wing - history of the WKP company
-Rossland social history, incl. sports, transportation, education, religion, and community organizations
-Dioramas, incl. Post Office, Miner's cabin, Hunter Brothers' General Store, Parlor, etc.
We are also the local visitor centre, and we have a gift shop, indoor lunch area, community archives, and kids area!

The movies I saw this week at the museum were great. Loved the National Film Board film on Old Glory and Weather Station , They Weather Guys had to shot a Griz up there. wow
