Dracula (Adam Sandler) has been working nonstop for the last hundred years. Lonely, he wants to meet someone and begin dating, but he isn't having any luck finding anyone online. His daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) is determined to help him relax. She convinces him to go on a luxury cruise with herself and the rest of their monster family in order to take a break from providing everyone else’s vacations.
The group adjusts quickly as they indulge in all the amenities and activities that life on deck has to offer. But when Mavis realizes her dad is falling for Erika (Kathryn Hahn), the ship’s mysterious but beautiful captain, she senses something is off. As it turns out, Erika happens to have a nefarious plan to ruin all of monsterkind.
